A.J. Leece A.J has been playing
guitar for about a year now but he seems to have the fundamentals down as far
as playing goes. He picked up a guitar and taught himself most of everything
he knows with the little help of his dad who is the next eddie
van halen. He listens to a lot of punk and ska like Flogging Molly Reel big fish yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anti Flag, Lagwagon, and Bad Religion. He hopes to
be playing with Rictus for awhile as he thinks are
a great bunch of guys and girl. His influences are mostly Slash, Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix. He
wants to be able to play like them eventually but will have to work at it for
a while yet. He also tells us that he doesn't chase after girls as they are
too finnicky and high maintenance... he just eats, sleeps,
breathes and plays guitar. |

Mark Hansen One of the founding members of Rictus (okay there's only 3 members... but he's still a
founding member!) he has added his insane drum playing and song writing
skills to the group. Trained in classical piano he also plays the guitar in
addition to his maniacal drum beats. Musical influences include Metallica, In Flames, Amorphis,
Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Tourniquet, J.S. Bach, Beethoven,Sergei Rachmaninoff, Paganini and many others. When not playing the drums he
can often be found at the local motocross track trying to emulate the riders
on all the "Crusty Demons" videos he owns. Sometimes he is even
successful. Clocking in at 22 years... he's the "Old Geezer" of the
group... but that's okay because it just means that he has more experience
and can use it to bully the others around (okay... TRY and bully the others
around). He's a damn good drummer and an accomplished musician |

Shauna Hartwick Shauna is the band's new
Bass player. She played acoustic guitar for 4 years, and now studies flute
and voice, making her a quick study as she had never played the Bass till two
weeks before the Underground show! Shauna is the youngest member of the group
at 15 years old and definitely the shortest, yet has travelled
extensively including spending a month in |

Steffan Hartwick
Steffan has been playing guitar for as long as he can remember. He received
his first "little guitar" when he was a mere 3 years old. His heart
was broken when the guitar was smashed... by his sister... who
"accidentally" sat on it. Steffan started
taking lessons when he was 6 years old, back when his parents listened to a
lot of Pink Floyd and Supertramp. He is 17 years
old, making him the not the youngest of the group anymore. His influences
include Metallica, In Flames, Amorphis,
System of a Down, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, NOFX,
Slayer and Mark Hansen. When not screaming or wailing on his guitar, you can
often find Steffan either at a punk show... or out
with a girl (or both!). He is pierced to all get out, and he has some pretty
wacky hair, but we let him stick around anyways... besides... Mark can't
drum, play guitar and sing all at once!!! |
